Bidding Guidelines

Fall 2009 through Spring 2010 Hunting Season

Bids must be received by April 20, 2009.

 

Upper Dry Creek Ranch is located on 2200 acres in northeastern Oregon at the foothills of the beautiful Blue Mountains.  We have a wide range of wildlife including turkey, bears, cougars, whitetail and mule deer.

 

The terrain consists of open hillsides, brushy draws and canyons and plenty of wildlife food including wild apple trees, forbes, brushy plants and native grass. Water sources include fresh flowing streams, springs and ponds.

 

1. This Lease is for one individual or a group of up to five licensed hunters.  

 

2. The Lease runs from  June 1, 2009 to May 31, 2010.  

 

      3. Hunts permitted during the lease include any two Oregon deer hunts and wild             turkey season.  We are located in Walla Walla Unit #55.  

 

4. This lease is for self-guided hunts.  We direct you to sites where we believe there is the best potential for your success. We provide game retrieval if needed.

 

    5.  Three landowner preference tags are available with this lease.

 

    6.  Landowner accommodations include RV or tent sites or assistance with                     reservations at local motels.*

 

7. Winning bidders agree to supply current personal references prior to finalizing lease.

 

8. Landowner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

 

9. Upon acceptance of lease terms, lessees shall submit a 50% deposit of lease bid.  This is a non refundable deposit that will secure the lease. The remaining 50% is due by September 1, 2009.

 

10. Landowners will make every effort to insure a successful hunting experience    for lessees but because of the highly variable nature of hunting, we cannot  guarantee every hunter will go home with game.

 

11. Potential lessees are welcome to preview the property prior to placing their  bid.  Landowner will accept appointments with 48 hours notice.

 

     12. Winning bidder will be notified by phone by April 27, 2009. Non-winning                        bidders will receive notification via mail or e-mail.

 

     13. This lease is for intended parties only and is not transferable or available for                   sublease to other parties.

 

     14. Lessees understand that Upper Dry Creek Ranch is a working ranch with                  livestock and will make every effort respect designated livestock areas.

 

Bids must be received by April 20, 2009.  Bids may be mailed via United States Postal Service, UPS Letter or Federal Express to Upper Dry Creek Ranch, 54746 Upper  Dry Creek Road, Weston, OR  97886.

 

   * We hope to have a self contained travel trailer available for use for our lessees

       by Fall of 2009.
